Something I am always asked about are the roses we have in our garden. We have several varieties but the Eden roses are favorites. They are true ruffly beauties that bloom and bloom and look just gorgeous in a vase in the house.
Today I am sharing a bit more about our Eden Roses and answering a couple of your recent questions about them.
Eden Roses
We have 3 varieties of Eden- Eden which is the traditional cabbage rose look that is barely blushing.
Eden White which is just as it sounds- a white rose with a little bit of pink edging that is full of ruffles.
And Pretty in Pink Eden which is a hot pink color that is definitely not a nonchalant quiet bloomer.
Climbers
Our Eden roses are climbers – and they are vigorous climbers. We have them already trying to climb tall in their pots -and so have added a few bamboo stakes to give them some support.
We have waited to plant them because of the gopher issue we were having. After they eating so many of the foxgloves -we decided to wait a tad hoping that they would move along. Since I sat in one of these garden chairs at dinner and one leg of the chair sunk into a gopher hole- seems they are still moving around and looking for things to enjoy.

Where to plant Eden Roses
I say anywhere and Everywhere haha! They love sunshine as most roses do- but do need some shade if they are in a super hot hot hot area. You can plant along a fence for them to ramble along, next to your doorway openings on trellis or up against a pergola pole. Really – anywhere that they will have some space to climb and grow and that gives them plenty of sunshine they should work well.
Cut Flowers
They are lovely in a vase- and they smell wonderful too. They do have a bit of a weak stem being a climber so you may need some sturdier blooms as reinforcements or use tape to create more support. I clip them when they are in all bloom, or in bud and getting ready to bloom but not when they are tiny bud form.
Where to buy
I have found our Eden roses at a local nursery- but you can find them at places like Heirloom Roses, David Austin Roses, Plants Express, etc. and probably your local nurseries as well.
I hope this helps give you some more info about Eden Roses- and inspires you to add one (or a few) to your garden.
Tablecloths
As well- you can see our vintage rose tablecloth in this post- I know a lot of you have been messaging and waiting for the market to open- happy to share that our market will be OPEN for shopping for limited time. We won’t get any more stock after this until fall at the earliest- so if you have your eye on something- grab it. We have white and natural linen slipcovers and a handful of tablecloths available- all limited supply.
Watch for more info on the shop opening and linens tomorrow and a closer look at this little table in the garden.
Happy Monday all.
