All things Merry & Bright… and beyond beautiful at Hammersky Vineyards.
I was in Paso Robles last week to do a little bit of decorating.
We decked the 100+ year old farmhouse halls with Balsam Hill for their Christmas event
this Friday- December 13th- and you are invited!
Today I am sharing a look at the farmhouse behind the scenes.
I discovered Hammersky Vineyards earlier this year and fell in love immediately.
Not only is the Paso Robles wine country absolutely beautiful- but
Hammersky itself is one of the most magical locations I have been to.
Aside from their incredible vineyard views
(this is their winter view complete with warm rich color and that heavy coastal
mountain fog rolling in.)
they also have an incredible barn
and the most charming 100+ year old farmhouse and host weddings and events all year long.
And while we were staying with them in that farmhouse in the spring-
Melanie and I started chatting about the holidays.
and she asked if I would come and decorate the farmhouse for Christmas
Which- hello! I am a HUGE Christmas kind of girl
and I work with the most amazing Christmas company- Balsam Hill.
A perfect fit.
Balsam Hill and I brainstormed ideas for decor
dreamed up color schemes
and the perfect ‘farmhouse’ touches for the Hammersky farmhouse
and then we got to work.
You know me…
I arrived at the farmhouse and the very first thing I did was to set up the tree in the barn
and snap a dozen photos.
I mean…. can you blame me? This. Barn. makes me want to add on to our barn and create an even bigger play space on our property.
It is not an old barn- it is actually fairly new- and incredible.
We turned the twinkle lights on inside and out
and I set up this gorgeous 8′ Balsam Hill Biltmore Spruce.
BEYOND beautiful folks.
You might remember this tree when I was at The Biltmore in North Carolina
decking the hotel halls with their new signature tree.
But… of course, the tree didn’t stay at the barn- come on inside the farmhouse for a peek at the Christmas that is appearing.
Note: I snapped most of these photos with my iPhone while decorating
& after it was dark after we finished
– so stay tuned for more photos from the event.
For the front door garland and wreath- we used
A perfect mix of classic red and bold florals.
Once inside- a wee Alpine Balsam Fir greets you.
I grabbed this incredible vintage settee off the porch for the entry area
and just love the vintage farmhouse vibe it has.
The metal JOY sign is so perfect for the farmhouse
and it coordinated well with the bay laurel garland on the stairs.
In the living room- that beautiful Biltmore Spruce fit perfectly in the corner.
We covered it in the Farmhouse Christmas Ornament Collection which is a mix of traditional colors, plaid details, jingle bells and pinecone beauties- it is one of my favorites.
We also included the Merry Mice
and a woven tree collar in place of a traditional skirt
and a beautiful star at the top.
Isn’t it such a beautiful tree? I am in love with how it turned out.
Across the room- the dining room has a few charming lanterns and candles
and upstairs I brought gorgeous vintage chair inside to the landing and added a few
Miracle Flame candles to warm up the corner.
In the kitchen
we decorated the breakfast table area with snowy tabletop trees
and more Miracle Flame Candles.
Such a simple but charming way to add a sprinkle of Christmas
to a busy working room in the house.
My husband was cooking away (he is half Sicilian and loves to cook ) while I was wandering around taking a few photos and videos.
You can see a bit of a quick tour in the video here:
