Each book is kind of like a baby. You love and nurture and watch them grow up as the book comes together and when they go out into the world, it can feel scary and a bit exposed.
So much goes into each and every book- and something you may not know is that even though I have a traditional book publisher and editor that I work with, I am involved in all aspects of creating a book. From concept to content- styling and taking photos, writing, layout, refining and marketing the book. It is a big project and is one of my absolute favorite things to work on.
SEASONS is my 5th book- and gosh, that is so crazy to write! I remember when I dreamed of writing my first book and to think that my first book French Country Cottage led to 4 more blows my mind.
Creating a Coffee Table Book Process
This book has been several years in the making. And while I worked on so many new stylings and photos for it, we of course included your most loved seasonal stylings from over the years as well.
There is so much that goes into creating a coffee table book and I thought I would delve into a bit more of that as I share more peeks inside the pages.
Each book has so much that goes on behind the scenes that I don’t share and this book launch time has been a more difficult one for me as I was needed to support family. I will share more when I am ready. For today, I simply want to welcome Seasons and share it with you and say thank you to my publisher Gibbs Smith, my editor Madge and my family who have all supported me so much while I worked on this book. And also thank you to each of you for all of your support of me and my books over the years. Without you, French Country Cottage would not be what it is.
