up quite a bit of time.
but they are finally getting close to being wrapped up
and so I’m sharing one of those projects today…
and concrete floors.
When we bought our house we were so excited to have a separate house on the property to fix up as well.
since the 1940’s and we have been working on giving it a new finished look.
It is an amazing space with tall peaked ceilings and original old exposed beams
We finished the ceiling with planks of wood,
added beadboard and painted the floors for a start.
*Just a note*
Since several of you have asked~
This kitchen is a DIFFERENT kitchen than I have shared before
this kitchen is in the little guest cottage on our property
My French cottage kitchen with the black island
is looking like it always does (well, for now!) we didn’t change it
🙂
painting or staining in whatever color you would like.
We also put in a new sink and faucet as well.
We extended the counters further on one end to allow for a stool/garbage area
with just a small island on the opposite side
I designed the counters to be a little less deep than standard
which meant that the sink base cupboard stuck out just a bit further
which was okay by me…because I had a plan
🙂
I also decided to put in a vintage inspired cupboard area instead of all cupboards or drawers
Something with old farmhouse legs,
with lots of charm with the function
as well as a look at some of the other rooms in the guest cottage that we have been working on.
But for now…

How beautiful. The cottage looks great and so does that bucket of flowers! A good way to start out a Monday.
Te ha quedao un maravilloso fregadero.
besos y feliz semana…..

PS I Google + you! I am all about the Google + thanks to blog talk 🙂
Wow! What a stunner! Gorgeous kitchen, Courtney!
Courtney, this is just gorgeous! It reminds me of the little apartment that we built for my mom that is in our backyard. We didn't put in a full kitchen, just a sink and a few base cabinets from Lowes. We put up beadboard, but I couldn't talk her into a fabric skirt for one of the open cabinets! Love those curtains, too.
How how I would love a guest cottage…your guest cottage kitchen is so beautifully done…and it is just amazing that you did it all on a $750 budget…what an accomplishment!…Great, great job! I love it!
I always wanted a guest cottage for the ranch. We've got plenty of room, and we'll get it one of these days. Yours is absolutely adorable!!
