In looking for some inspiration pictures for the chair I am reupholstering-
I pulled out one of the most gorgeous design books that I have and thought I would share.
I remember the first time I saw this book- it was several years ago & I was at Borders looking through tons of beautiful design books and noting which ones I wanted to order from Amazon.
I found this book about Scalamandre and opened it up and was in awe!
The gorgeous sumptuous fabrics-
Seriously some of the most incredibly beautiful drapes & valances around!
The upholstery and bedding are just gorgeous as well- with lots of tassels and trims!
There are so many beautiful things in this room-
and this room…
Scalamandre is a textile company- so this books shows their fabrics and details in use in stunningly beautiful homes.
I loved this book immediately.
Of course, the price I did not love.
So I searched Amazon, found one for much less & have enjoyed drooling over it ever since.

A thank you
I also wanted to say thank you to a sweet friend on mine-

Back to the chair and those inspiration pics…
We got each and every last one of those (seemed like 500 of them!) tacks out
and got the seat reinforced.
I did have to get some new straps but after tinkering with the seat for a bit, it worked out.
So all that’s left is new fabric!
🙂
