I am all about simple.

I think natural. Subtle. Fresh.
Things like fresh picked apples and soft hued pears in a vintage bowl

Dried flowers mixed with old books
and of course those perfectly soft and shabby faded green hydrangeas.
Simple autumn decor makes my knees weak.
Outdoors, you will find a bit more traditional autumn with bold oranges and reds
but I tend to bring the softer side into my home for the season
Yummy fairytale pumpkins.
in shades of muted orange, white and even soft gray greens are my favorites.
And I love autumn to mix right into the rest of the house
and feel like a sprinkling of fall-
rather than stand out.

or a bucket of dried hydrangeas in front of a chippy door.
And one of my favorites for autumn entertaining?
Just a few of those fairytale pumpkins marching down the center of a table
for a rustic autumn dinner party.

Of course, some areas I do like to play a bit more
like the mantel decor
and maybe a couple
simple sweet vignettes like this one that I am just finishing the photos of.
