Warm golden autumn tones
mingling with pretty pastels & whites
and of course, white pumpkins…
A simple subtle autumn table that is all about the softer side of the season.
I was staring at this table that now sits in the front of the house and trying to dream up an idea for a table setting.
I didn’t get to the market last weekend for fresh flowers- I twisted my ankle and fell pretty badly running down hill on my morning run so have been laying low for a couple of days.
So I grabbed the bundles of dried blooms I had on hand… and lots of pretty gold dishes and hobbled out to the table to play a bit.
I started out with white larkspur and pretty purple hydrangeas. I am obsessed with whites and purples this season- you will be seeing more of them very soon.
A simple centerpiece of flowers with white pumpkins was perfect.
Vintage gold candle holders with gold candles add the perfect amount of ambiance under the twinkle lights.
And the place settings with gilded chargers, lace pattern covered plates and brass goblets are simple and elegant.
I wanted something soft- a look that speaks in a more of a whisper of autumn than a shout.
And I think this gold beauty does just that.

I'm so sorry Courtney to hear about your ankle. I had my ankle hurting me a few months back so I know how much pain you are in. You should soak it in warm Epsom Salt water then put Ice pack on it and do this every hour or two. Plus buy you a ankle brace ! Get you some T – Relief Gel to rub on it.
