It’s the weekend, so that means it’s time for a few random ramblings and tidbits.
I kind of love Random Saturday posts.
They are just a perfect amount of a mish mash of this and that
and everything all rolled into one little post.
This week, it’s about thousands of poinsettias, Charles Faudree inspiration and pretty poufs.
About as random as it gets.
There are several fun things this week from the Lowe’s event on the random list
so it’s kind of like the ‘Lowe’s edition’ 😉

#1. Lowe’s Blogger Event and inspiration
This week, I spent a couple of days in North Carolina at the Lowe’s Headquarters
for the first ever
for the first ever
Lowes Creative Ideas Blogger Days.
It was such a fun event and so great to meet my Lowe’s Creative Ideas family
in person after working with them for several years. They were just as I expected them to be
You guessed it- they rock! 🙂
You guessed it- they rock! 🙂
I was inspired by so much that they have coming up for Spring- think watercolors and pretty patterns
and yes, those are poufs- and yes, they will be at Lowe’s.
We also toured a top secret location
and I went to my first ever professional basketball game
Truly- it was so much fun and I hope that they do another one again soon!
#2. Fields of Poinsettias
Have you ever seen thousands and thousands (literally)
I hadn’t until the amazing welcome dinner at the Lowe’s event
that was set up right in the middle of a greenhouse.
that was set up right in the middle of a greenhouse.
It was absolutely beautiful.
Metrolina Greenhouse said they had moved probably around 5,000 plants just to clear the space for the tables for dinner and along each of the sides you can see the sea of red
from all the plants that bordered it.
It’s a sandpaper tree. Yes, made out of pieces of sandpaper.
Pretty amazing all around.
#3. Look Ma…
Well, famous might be pushing it just a wee bit 😉
but I am honored to be included in a feature in the Lowe’s Creative Ideas
magazine this month.
magazine this month.
featured along with these amazing bloggers.
#4. Getting ready for the Holidays
There are just a few more days to shop the French Country Cottage Holiday Hostess event
over at Joss & Main and there are some pretty amazing prices
and new pieces being added all the time.

Bonito post.
