Welcome to the weekend view. This week is full of dinner plate size dahlias, quiet morning coffee, wine barrels and some special Christmas in July fun coming your way.
Weekend view
Dahlias
Beyond beautiful- the dahlias are blooming away in the garden right now. These are gorgeous, big blooms that are bigger than your hand and full of vibrant color. We layered white dahlias with these big beauties along with a few other favorites. I’ll have to break down the plantings in the garden planters sometime and share more about why they are planted here instead of in the ground.
Morning Coffee View
So enjoying soaking up the magic right here in the morning while sipping coffee. Lovely way to start the day.
Wine Barrels
I mentioned last week that we were out and about looking for a few well weathered and aged wine barrels for the yard. So of course, we had to stop by one of our favorite wineries to sip one of our favorite wines. Anyone else a Rombauer fan? It was such a fun stop- and they treated us with some extra reserve tastings which were so good.
We also saw this cute fella sunning himself on the way through the valley.
Christmas in July
It is ALMOST the most magical time of the summer- Christmas in July! Every year, I have so much fun decorating a summer Christmas tree and hosting a Christmas in July gathering. I will be sharing more about what we are doing this year soon- but we also are celebrating an extra special Christmas in July this year and will be spilling the beans about that very soon. The first folks to hear all about what we are up to this year are those in our Christmas and Holiday Decorating Group on Facebook. If you aren’t in the group yet- click over and join in to be the first to know about all the fun coming your way. Hope to see you there!
FRENCH COUNTRY COTTAGE CHRISTMAS GROUP
Little Cutie Patootie Louis
Louis is a charmer and he pretty much has some of the best hair style of all of our silkies. He is a frizzled showgirl silkie (even the roosters are called showgirls) and he really has so much character and personality. I adore him and think he is such a handsome, sweet boy- though my mom said he has a face only a mother could love so I might be biased. Would you like me to share more information and posts about our silkies?
Weekend Wandering
This weeks wandering is taking us all over the place.
In case you missed it- I shared a bold and beautiful table setting idea HERE
I love the bedding combination ideas here– and I will be sharing a new look in our bedroom soon too.
And these breakfast nook ideas are so pretty. I think I need a nook now. lol
Have a beautiful weekend everyone.

Where did you find those gorgeous dalias? Love to knkw where to get some like that, as well as the rest of the flower breakdown you mentioned!

My husband found them at a Grocery Outlet store- they have the same plant supplier that the large greenhouses and garden centers use so they often have amazing plants at good prices.
