Welcome to the weekend view…
and a little of this, that and everything else from the week that was.
This week, it is all about behind the scenes, catching up and autumn decorating.
It’s Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas
Last week, I was in L.A. for a special project with my Balsam Hill family. It had to do with some of my favorite things- Balsam Hill, Christmas and Hallmark Channel.
I have been sworn to secrecy on the rest for now- but stay tuned for some behind the scenes coming your way in a few weeks. (these are the BH Farmhouse Christmas Ornaments)
Sniffling and sneezing
I came home with a bit of a cold after being on set in L.A.- and then with the change of season shift in the weather and wind- those autumn allergies kicked in full force and my sinuses have not been too happy. It probably doesn’t help that I have been working in the back 40 part of our property where there are quite a few cedar trees while it has been so windy. But…this view…I can’t help myself- it is a new favorite place to work and play.
If you have been following along for a bit- you might remember that I clipped fresh cedar branches to use in my bedroom for the holidays one year- and I couldn’t figure out why I had a rash on my arms and was so congested and sneezy… it was the cedar garland I put above our bed that was the culprit. Had no idea I was allergic.
Behind the scenes, Autumn and Holiday -coming your way
A busy couple of weeks coming up in the next month- and I am excited to share more about what we are up to. I have made some changes with the blog and business recently- and have been working with an assistant for several months which has been a game changer.
I am also working on several things for 2020 that I cannot wait to share soon. But first- we are talking pumpkins for a few more weeks- and then it is all holiday all the time for a bit.
And dreaming up a couple new ideas for both autumn and holiday this year and
this week I will be sharing more about the peek I shared of that simple porch styling last week-the barn for autumn. It is one of my favorite looks so far.
I will also be delving into a simple look with HomeGoods
and sharing a few tips for charming neutral autumn decor.
And I will be sharing what we were up to in North Carolina with my Greenworks family and some bloggers you might recognize. A hint- it also included white water and a big raft.
In book signing news- several fun events on the calendar for fall- starting with one in Baltimore, Maryland the first weekend of November with Balsam Hill– stay tuned for more information and I hope to see you there!

All of this sounds wonderful, but let's get to Christmas…..my favorite time of the year.

Beautiful Courtney as always. Evergreens of most types are allergy and sinus killers. Evergreens are never live in our home. Pretty but kill me.
Looking forward to hearing updates on goings on.

I'm ready for Christmas too. Loved to see more pistures in your home and new barn.
