20 minute decorating -ideas for the 4th of July

Today it is all about simple 20 minute decorating ideas- and with this being the week of the the 4th of July- I thought I would share a few ideas for adding a bit of red, white and blue to your home and table for any get togethers you may be planning.

First up- Let's talk decorating.

The best thing about the 4th of July for decorating? It is SO EASY.  All you need to do is grab a few of those $1 tiny flags at the market and place them nearly anywhere for instant patriotic charm.

I love them in a tiny pitcher or bottle

and on the mantel outside

or on the side table in a little bottle.

And my favorite - a vintage flag on the greenhouse. You can also do this on a barn, the side of your house or on your porch. It instantly adds patriotic charm.

And on the table.
So simple to add a burst of red, white and blue-
with your place settings.

Use a blue transferware or pattern dish

You can also add blue stemware with white dishes

These white dishes are Bella Bianca

And of course- you can always add those colors with dessert.

I love this cake that is full of red, white and blue inspiration that is from my book

Simply top a white cake with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries  and strawberries
and add a few sprigs of rosemary and tiny sugar roses

Your family and guests will love how it looks and how it tastes- it is decadent!

Don't miss what my friends are sharing this month as well-
