Boho Summer Celebration Table
Summer is always such a fun time to plan a gathering with friends and family. Sitting outdoors and enjoying all the ambiance and beautiful backdrop that nature provides takes even the most informal of gatherings to an inspired level. This boho summer table is all about that. Today for Friday Favorites- I am sharing a table that I put together that was full of whimsy and charm- and a comfortable casual elegance- and with some fun and unique finds.
Create a soft place to sit
I started with layers of cozy pillows around a low table.
Tip: This low table is a pallet table with a rustic planked board top. You can also create a similar look and set up using a coffee table. Gather various size pillows for comfy seats. You can also set this table up as a regular table and chairs of course.
Layers
A mix and mingle of vintage and new on the table- simple white plates, chunky goblets and vintage glass, teacups, flatware and linens for a casual elegant look. The ‘napkin’ here is actually a vintage handkerchief.
Something Whimsical
With a bohemian style – it is all about this and that and a bit of whimsy. I was excited to find several beautiful gold waste baskets on the shelf and knew they would be the perfect container for flowers. Simply place a large glass vase or jar inside and fill with favorite flowers for instant elegance.
The Secret & the Treats
I fell in love with these beautiful ‘tables’ the minute I saw them. They have a secret though… any idea what it is?
The are not ‘Tables’ – they are actually baskets. I simply flipped them over to use as tables. So simple and easy to do-and I love their charm.
Several boxes of macarons, foil wrapped almond butter chocolates and chocolate straws were delicious and perfect for setting out.
The rest of the macarons landed on the cake and platter as decoration.Stay tuned for a post about creating this cake and what you need to know for safety when using flowers on food.
Add the Ambiance
A tip is to use twinkle lights as a backdrop- think about hanging them in a tree or set up a couple of poles to string them on.

Courtney,
I love everything. I tried to subscribe to the Homegoods blog site but it kept telling me “application error”. I’ve bookmarked their site and will visit often, I didn’t know they had a blog, so thank you for that too.
