It is all about that mingle- especially when you are talking about the mingle of the seasons magic. Today is all about a few tips for mingling the different bits of magic of the seasons and creating a gathering that delights guests and brings all kinds of moody ambiance.

Mingle of the Seasons Magic
My first go to when mingling the seasons? Grab some of the elements that speak to you from each one. It is August and full of summertime magic right now- so use all the beauty summer brings for your gathering. Set a table out under the stars and take advantage of the warm summer nights and the light that stays out longer. Bring the cozy of autumn in with the colors and warm ambiance they bring. And add in the magic of Christmas with the twinkling tree and lights.

On the Table Magic
I used foliage that was full of moody ambiance and rich colors. Persimmons, berries and eucalyptus bring all the autumn magic. I love how the persimmon foliage feels autumnal but early autumn rather than pumpkins. It really warms up the table and adds a lovely ‘mood’.

Adding in a couple of candles tucked into the garland brings a layer of warmth on the table that echoes the lights overhead. I kept the lights bare instead of adding foliage this time and let the rest of the setting do the talking.

Lanterns & Foliage
In the background of the table, a lovely layer echoes the foliage on the table. I topped the wine barrels with foliage and oversized lanterns for a cozy glow.

A tip -you don’t have to use the same foliage. You can mix and mingle those garlands and wreaths for a unique look. Two different looks in these two photos but they bring all the same feeling.
