A little bit merry & bright
in a little merry & bright attic room
Sometimes a room sprinkled with just a bit of Christmas is all you need
to add a whole lot of Christmas cheer.
like a sugar sprinkled tree
dotted with vintage & vintage inspired ornaments.
Up at the top of the stairs there sits a little room
with slanted walls and plank wood flooring.
A wee dollhouse
and treasures from the past.
And for Christmas, things get a bit more festive.
I love to include a wee tree and this little frosted fraser fir from Balsam Hill
is absolute perfection up here.
I love this wee tree collar of sweet houses by Balsam Hill as well
that are lit up.
You might remember it from the little cottage living room as well
I used it on the mantel.
I also have this little advent house here as well.
Such a fun treat for kids and just to enjoy looking sweet.
I took photos of the attic as it was getting dressed for the holidays with just a simple glowing tree
and then added a few vintage and vintage inspired ornaments for a different look.
Remember this little roll top desk?
A favorite from my collection with Soft Surroundings- find it here.
And those.beds.
Seriously incredible vintage beds
that I am in.love.with.
The most charming aqua paint and floral details
and delicate carvings.
These beds deserve a post all their own- so that will be coming in the new year.
Behind the tree- you can see these French inspired sconces peek out a bit.
Coming soon-

The beds are just PERFECT!! I love cottage furniture and the colors and painted details are soooo pretty!! Great score, just right for your attic bedroom!
I love how you made your attic so beautiful. I live in a three room attic apartment and you inspired me. I had a small five foot tree (Live) and I put those wonderful little wooden boxes on my book shelves. Balsalm Fir was out of their collar. Thank you for making me feel special in my tiny world. I love your blog and have read every word of your book over and over. Thank you for all you do. Kathryn
