Twinkling trees and Christmas magic all through the house. This little charming wispy Christmas tree is the 10th tree in this years 12 Trees of Christmas- and it is full of pretty details like beaded garlands, vintage ornaments and a sprinkle of tinsel magic.

Charming Wispy Christmas Tree
Remember when I shared the tinsel tree story the other day? The one about when my husband and I were first dating and we went out to cut trees in the mountains in Montana? When he came home with a tree as big as his living room- and mine? Well, it was a Charlie Brown style tree. Wispy and dainty in size but big on personality and charm. Todays tree is kind of like that tree. It has pretty little branches, delicate details and is small enough to fit pretty much anywhere you want to place it. It is my Charlie Brown inspired tree. With a twist.

Do you remember what else my husbands big old tree had on it? A whole lot of tinsel. As in A WHOLE LOT OF TINSEL IS THERE EVEN A TREE UNDER ALL THAT TINSEL? Let’s just say our Christmas tree decorating styles have always been a bit different. But this year folks… it is all about a mix and mingle.
Charlie Brown Style Tree
It all started with this wee Alpine Balsam Fir from Balsam Hill. It is a perfect little wispy tree with so much personality and charm just as it is. And this year- that mix and mingle came into play. A wee Charlie Brown style tree- with a sprinkle of tinsel.

The Trimmings

I started out with trimming the tree as I usually would. New & vintage baubles and beautiful beaded garlands. I went with a silver and gold theme and love how delicate and elegant the tree feels.

The garlands are on repeat. Several different styles draped in layers on the tree. From big gold glass beads to mixed vintage style garland, pearls and pearl and rhinestone. It has a bit of ‘Vegas pizazz’ going on for sure- and I love it.

Tinsel
Oh tinsel tree… oh tinsel tree…

This is the stuff my husbands Christmas tree dreams are made of. Tinsel dripping and dropping from every branch. Though, I will admit- I didn’t take 87 boxes of tinsel and cover the tree- more like about 1/3- 1/2 of 1 box and that was more than enough to give this tree a bit of shimmer- and make my husband happy.
The Mirror

I repeated the beaded garlands on the mirror by placing them on a fresh cedar garland. And then finished the look with a long elegant gray velvet bow.

The Cupboard
I styled the cupboard just a bit and am sharing a peek today- I added another velvet bow to the key and original pom pom.

and inside used layers of greens, pewter and silver for a bit of elegance.

Stay tuned for the finished look soon. And stay tuned also for a whole new look in this room. Just out of view we are making some updates and I am pretty excited for it to come together.
I think one of the things I love the most about this tinsel covered tree being in the office is that my office is somewhat on the rustic side. It has a very well loved & worn original wood floor, old knotty pine walls and corner windows. And with those new antique pieces in here bringing in even more patina-that glimmer twinkling tree just feels even more elegant.

My favorite tree so far. Beautiful!!!!
So pretty. I think this is my favorite. i love the icicles. i wish we could still find the old heavy ones that hung so beautifully and were popular when i was a child. i think they probably had lead in them however. be careful with your animals. icicles can wreak havoc if eaten by pets.
