I can hardly believe that Christmas is almost here.
It seems like I just finished up all the decking the halls and sprinkling the holiday magic around the house.
And a lot of stylings changed in between when I first decorated and now.
And one of those things is the mantel in the bedroom- and I promised a closer look at the two different ways that this mantel was dressed for Christmas this year.
All Natural
I started with frosty greens and fresh details.
A couple of gorgeous magnolia and eucalyptus wreaths that I picked up at the flower market inspired me this year in several rooms-
and this mantel style was one that was inspired by that natural goodness.
A few fresh spiral eucalyptus with gold floral touches and candles
with green velvet stockings.
Add a few vintage candlesticks and it was done.
All Neutral
And a completely different look for this same mantel – is an all neutral look.
I was inspired by the white Christmas tree that arrived for photography- and restyled the mantel accordingly.
Chunky knit stockings
vintage inspired white wreath that looked perfect with the same Merry Christmas letters as the natural mantel
But that also worked beautifully with those barely blushing mercury glass ornaments as well.
And lots of vintage and vintage inspired candlesticks for a warm glow finished it perfectly.
So there you have the same mantel with two very different looks. It shows how easy it is to change the style and overall feeling of something with just a few swaps and in just a few minutes.
Which look do you prefer?
See you tomorrow for an outdoor Christmas tour.
Happy Thursday everyone!
Both mantels look great and dreamy , Love the chunky off white stockings and the bearly blush ornaments. and the green wreath and eucalyptus on the mantel. Sorry don't mean to be difficult. 🙂
Be Safe
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Hugs
If I HAD to chose one, I believe I prefer the white Christmas tree inspired mantel. But of course I love them both. Can you share where you found those chunky knit stockings?
I really can't say which one I like better. I looked at the first one and I thought this is it. Then I saw the second one and said the same thing. They both have that dreamy look of a magical kingdom. Gee, Courtney, I can't imagine making anything prettier next year but I'm sure you'll think of something. For this year though, those photos could be Christmas cards. Thank you for all of your inspiring photos! Have a very Merry Christmas and I hope your puppy lets you sleep in 🙂
I agree with the comments! A magical dreamy Christmas home, inside and out!
Have a Merry Christmas with your family and I do hope Mr. Weenie let's you sleep in too:).
