When I was a wee girl, I used to spend hours dreaming about Christmas.
And one of my favorite things aside from the twinkling trees,
stockings on the fireplace mantel by the warm fire
and the Christmas parties with all the treats you could eat
was that my grandparents would always drive down for Christmas.

And I would get so excited to see them and know that when they arrived
that meant that Christmas was here.
and memories being made.
Did I ever tell you that we do Karaoke at Christmas at my moms?
We do. And we are SO NOT GOOD that it is awesome.
Good times.
🙂
Back to the outdoor tour- just because the patio is outdoors and may not be used every day
in winter- I always love to sprinkle a bit of Christmas cheer out there.
The rock fireplace waits for evenings spent outdoors.

Sometimes I think twinkling lights and evergreens are just the thing. You've given me so much inspiration — I'm doing this next year. We don't have an outdoor fireplace, but we do have a chiminea that I think could stand some Christmas love 😉 Buon Natale, to you and your family!
Breathtakingly beautiful! Merry Christmas~
