Can you believe that this post about carving pumpkins into vases for flowers was originally posted in 2016? And I am carving pumpkins for flowers even now. I am working on something pretty for Thanksgiving this week so stay tuned for more and I hope you enjoy a toss back to this sweet trio of pumpkin vases too.

Things to know
If you are using a real pumpkin- you want to use a barrier – like a vase or even a plastic baggie placed inside- to place the water and flowers in. Otherwise, you will have a soupy mess as the pumpkin and flowers sit.
If using real and fresh flowers- it will last a few days to a week depending on the weather and temperatures in your home. We are in California and warm here yet so they don’t last as long indoors and definitely place it somewhere out of the sun.
You can use faux carveable pumpkins or a ‘pumpkin’ vase and faux flowers to avoid all that above. It is simple and easy to do with the carveable pumpkins & realistic florals they sell now.
Shop the look to create the ‘vase’ with an easy faux carveable pumpkin or pumpkin vase below.

Gorge ! I don do Orange so love seeing these pumpkins.
Or use faux everything and reuse the “ingredients” next year.
Pretty – how long will arrangment last?
How do you prevent ‘gnats’ from invading the raw pumpkin?
Super pretty and I love the pale pastel colors,
