Creating a charming centerpiece on the table is key to delighting your guests and creating a gathering they will remember. One of my favorite ways to create a welcoming & warm look is to use flowers (of course) and fruit. Fruit and flowers are a perfect mingle and it is so easy to put together- just shop the kitchen. Just a quick post today to answer questions & share a couple tips for creating a centerpiece with fruit and flowers.
Fruit and Flowers

Whether using fresh cut flowers or faux like these from this blog post the other day- choose flowers that echo your tabletop colors or that have a pop to make a statement.

I like to use two centerpieces on longer tables so create a long line visually- but you can use one of course and have a large stunning arrangement.

The Fruit
Once you decide on your flowers- go shop the kitchen for fruit that is not only delicious- but also beautiful on the table.

Favorites for me are red & black grapes, peaches and nectarines, apricots, plums, pomegranate, persimmon, pears and blackberries and blueberries most often.

To create an interesting centerpiece display with your fruit- use pedestals to elevate your cutting boards a bit and create ‘layers’. Be mindful of it being too high though- so that folks can see across the table. I have used carved wood bowls that are flat – or a cutting board with legs. You can also place a cutting board or platter on a small pedestal for some height. A note – if not using something to display it that is food safe- make sure to line with parchment or another type of paper to keep the food safe.
