Here they are~
I finally got around to re-doing the seats on the little chairs.
It has been a busy week over here- so I have been feeling like I just haven’t gotten much accomplished!
I am glad to be able to check this one off!
You all seemed to have the same thought on fabric as I did.
Red ticking stripe is always gorgeous- but on simple dainty chairs such as these- so sweet!
I pulled the old seats off- there were no screws holding them on, just old nails- so I literally pulled them off!
Looky what I found underneath one of them! The other one just had the old caning frame.

Too bad the seat had a hole in it!
I wrapped the fabric around the seats, & cut it to the correct size- trying to be mindful of the lines and keeping them straight.

A few staples later and one seat was done…repeat….and so was the other.

They are really charming in the ticking stripe.
It just seemed to fit the swedish gray finish perfectly compared to the other choices.
Though I have to admit, I was loving the pink fabric too-
faded shabby pink and gray-
ohh so gorgeous!
But I do have something else in mind for that pink fabric- and I will probably
need all of it that I can get…

but if there is any leftover….
these just may get some flirty little slipcovers!!!

The chairs look great! I love your blog and just became a new follower! I am new at this myself and trying to develop my love for home decor and decorating into a paying career! No way I will ever go back to school to do it so I am trying my hand at other things. I am inspired by what I read about you and love what you have done so far. I love what you did with the chairs – – – this is one instance when I actually do like the "new" look better than the old, which isn't always the case with the "redos" I see on blogs – – –
They look lovely. This way you can have them re caned some day if you like, but for now they look great.
