Welcome to the weekend view. This week, the view looked a bit like road trips and daydreaming, celebrations and family fun.
Birthday Bliss
We celebrated Juliette and her 4th birthday this week! Number one- how in the world is she already 4! I can’t believe it! Her parents rented a house on a horse ranch for a little vacation and we all made the trek over for the party.

It was such a fun day celebrating sweet Juliette with cake and presents and with horses and big mountain views- it was a beautiful spot too.

Vintage Shopping
My husband and I went out to do a bit of vintage shopping last week and had so much fun exploring and shopping.

I grabbed a vintage chair and chippy table and we found a couple new shops that we enjoyed. And I did a bit of daydreaming on the road- the views were absolutely charming. Though I am from California and have lived here most of my life, I am always in awe of how pretty our beautiful California countryside is.

Old West Towns
California is full of charming little old gold rush era towns and they are always a fun stop when out on the road. We explored several areas that charmed our socks off- like Sutter Creek. We love the old buildings and Wild West vibes so they are always fun to explore or even just stop & people watch. Side note- I think I need those green doors. I will do a post on some of our favorite little stops soon.

Red, White & Blue Dessert
If you are getting together with family or friends this weekend and want to make a dessert that is beautiful and delicious- you might enjoy this red, white and blue rustic cake. You can find the recipe HERE

Moment of Joy
This weeks moment of joy was all about family. Being together and celebrating Juliette turning 4 this month was such a treat. We feel so fortunate to have our big kids and grand babies close by so that we can see everyone often. Sometimes when I am sitting and holding one of the babies and watching the others, I find myself consciously slowing down and just soaking up the moment to tuck it away. Definitely moments of joy.
Happy weekend friends.
