Romantic inspired table setting for the holidays

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner.

With twinkling trees going up & favorite family recipes on the horizon-
the holidays are such a fun time to be with friends and family
and to celebrate and give thanks for all the wonder and beauty in our lives.

And it also means that holiday table settings are on the agenda.
You know me well enough to know that I am not traditional when it comes to holidays.
I do make our favorite pies and Grammy's mashed potato casserole recipe- but I also
like to do things a bit differently when it comes to tables.

And desserts.
I am excited to be joining my friends for a fun tour of table settings today
and if you are coming over from ShabbyFufu- welcome!

Today I am sharing a table setting that I put together while working on my book.
It was a rich color, autumn inspired setting- that incorporated several arrangements of peonies & roses marching down the table.

I started with the flowers - of course- one of my favorite things to play with for a table.

I used some of my favorites- but in unexpected seasonal colors to bring more of a dramatic touch.
Rich bold burgundy peonies,  coral peonies and pastel roses.

I also included a few sprigs of greenery clipped from our yard
for a tiny bit of 'holiday' included.

I used several gold containers for a regal touch
and a tip here is to use containers with a similar color- and vary their height and look
for a collected feel.  2 smaller and one larger urn container was perfect.

Blush drippy candles in vintage brass sticks
and small votives are a simple way to add that warm flicker and glow on the table.

For the place settings- my always on repeat favorites- Finezza
and blush wine stems are a simple and elegant addition.

Blush linen napkins and a table runner repeat the soft colors for a balance to that bold and beautiful.

A few cutting boards with nibbles are perfect for keeping guests happy while the
everything is cooking - and if hosting into the evening-simply turn on those twinkle lights
and bring out the lanterns for a bit more ambiance.

Simple and easy to put together- and a table that will invite your guests to sit down and enjoy
and create a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner to remember.
