I think that Merry & Bright season officially starts for most on November 1st -over here it is more like August or September 1st. But nonetheless, now that we are officially in December (can you even believe that? Zooming on by!) we are talking about all the Christmas trees and magic. And today for Friday Favorites, it is all about combining my love of flowers and gardening and Christmas with the Floral Christmas tree in the greenhouse from my Christmas book.

Floral Christmas Tree
This tree was one of my favorites in the book. Well I would say most all of them were favorites in one way or another. But this one just came together one afternoon in September and I was in absolute love with it.

The greenhouse was full of a whole lot of September sunshine and the garden was blooming away beautifully- but I was in full on Christmas mode. After we got back from shooting the Christmas apartment in Paris- I was inspired to create another flower filled tree and the greenhouse was just the perfect spot for it.

I started with a Yukon Spruce tree that I placed into an old cement basket planter and started adding fresh flowers.
Hydrangeas, roses and more for a floral Christmas tree
This floral Christmas tree has those beautiful pee gee hydrangeas as a showstopper. The best thing about these hydrangeas? Not only are they gorgeous- they also dry beautifully. I also added simple grocery store shopped white roses, a touch of maroon/purple scabiosa, white snowberries and greens.

Velvet Ribbons
The finishing touch on this tree and honestly many of my trees is velvet ribbon. There is just something about that lovely ribbon that I just adore on the tree. I had a rich forest green ribbon on hand and it was perfection.

What a feast for the eyes! A floral christmas tree is certainly a very different take for the holidays! Enjoyed it as with all your creations!
A Christmas tree filled with flowers! So lovely. Do you use the little viles with water for the flowers or just let them display natually?
A year ago, my heart was so touched by the love you poured out to me. It will always be at the top of my memories this time of year.
Happy Holidays Courtney!! x
