Oh how I fall for vintage florals every.single.time. I can’t walk past something that is decorated in flowers. And if it is something that wears old paint, has charming details like metal appliqués and has hand painted florals? I am IN. So you know when I saw the sweetest hand painted floral furniture pieces – I stopped for a closer look.

You might remember some of my other floral favorites- like the china cabinet I fell in love with HERE or the pair of floral bed frames I had in the attic before getting a different pair of floral painted bed frames in the attic or maybe even the floral armoire I shared years ago (did I mention that I am obsessed with floral painted furniture?)

Hand Painted Floral Furniture Love
Ok. Safe to say, I love these. LOVE them. They are so sweet and the perfect dainty size with charming details. I first fell for the florals and upon closer look, could see they were hand painted and signed. The color is such a soft pale creamy yellow and with the gilded bits all over- I was in.

I grabbed the tags and was taking another closer look and wondering if I needed to move them to the pick up area when two ladies walked by and started chatting about how I absolutely needed to get them. I told them I had the tags and was doing it but that they were hired to tell my husband that they needed to go home with me when he wandered over and found me buying furniture again haha. They were so fun and it is always good to have enablers at the thrift stores.

Drawers and Dainty Details

The drawers each have a small bouquet of blooms. Big garden roses, dainty flowers and sweet little blooms and there is an artist signature.

The sides also have florals on them. Not sure of age- if anyone has an idea- would love you to chime on in.

The tops appear to have been painted at one point- there is a lovely choppiness with gilding showing through and the paint is worn and so, it looks lovely as is. I am guessing that underneath that paint there *may* be another pop of pretty florals but they could be worn off or faded. Or maybe the paint is actually original and how it was meant to be- not sure. There are dainty metal appliqué details on each of the legs in the front- both at the tops and the bottoms. 2 of the bottoms are missing – but I did find one of them in a drawer to put back on.

Love them or Leave Them?
So the question is… would you Love them or Leave them?

They were $53 – not a crazy amount and you know I have a half a dozen spots in mind for them. Of course, as nightstands in the guest bedroom is perfect- but the attic, my bathroom and our library walkthrough area would all be lovely too. And of course, they would be so sweet for the event venue that I am always buying things for. haha. I can see them in front of the barn in a flower field seating area – perfection.

Happy Wednesday friends.
adore them! perfect style and love the painting, etc.
They really are sweet little treasures!
if they were wood and not particle board I would have scooped them right up quick. it looks like they have been painted over original and then painted flowers. they are pretty. especially for the price!
Yep they are solid wood- no particle board 🙂
