In Bloom Book
Working on a book is such a fun, creative process. From concept to styling to photography and writing. Layout and cover design- it is a wonderful creative project that I absolutely love. It is probably the most work and yet the most rewarding of my creative projects at the same time. And when that book baby goes out into the world, well, for lack of better words- you feel naked. Like all those things that you dreamed up and photographed and worked on that brought you so much joy in the moment- well now they are in the pages of a book and it can definitely make you feel like you are wearing your heart on your sleeve by sharing some of that with whoever reads it.
This book is more than just pretty blooms. It is a story of my love of flowers in my home and garden and in unexpected settings (like the bathtub!) It is about capturing the magic that flowers have and sharing it with you. It has whimsical settings, my sweet silkie chickens, flower filled moments and more. Though it feels a bit emotional to finally have it out in the wild- I do hope that you enjoy the creative beauty in this book as much as I enjoyed working on it.
I will share more about the creative details and why every book has a song that goes along with it- and this book earned the song Heart Like a Truck. And come back here tomorrow for our first giveaway- we are going to be doing some giveaways and lots of fun things to celebrate in the next week.
