Silver & gold, lucite, marble, velvet,
a whole lot of neutral
and a whole lot of color.
There was so much to inspire as always at High Point Market-
and yes, I snapped probably 300 photos while I was there
and redecorated my house in my mind every time I turned around.
I started the day off taking a red-eye in to North Carolina
so that I would have an extra day to zip around and say hello to friends and to tour some of my favorite showrooms ahead of time before the fun and busy of the Design Bloggers Tour started.
And I have so much to share over the next couple of months
but today it is all about that metal and texture trend that was popping up everywhere
and what caught my eye.
The Design Bloggers Tour started at one of my favorite showrooms
Bernhardt never disappoints- and this Market was no different.
This.bed. from the Domaine Blanc collection was a stunner
and started off that trend of metal that was everywhere.
One of my favorite tables- this dainty delicate gold beauty.
In Eichholtz–
it was all marble and gold for the win.
This table… completely in love.
And note the elegant construction and dainty look of the shelves? So pretty.
And more than a sprinkling of gold- this classic French style chair imagined
in a bold new way.
carried the gold torch next and brought this beautiful gold velvet lounge.
I was loving all the textures in fabrics that were popping up- and velvet- loving that trend for sure.
In Duralee– it was all warm and fuzzy feelings.
I noticed those rich velvets in gorgeous colors right away.
Would you be going for the gold, green or pink in velvet?
Love them all.
The metal trend continued at Ameriwood
with this charming crib
that looks like it costs a chunk-
but is surprisingly affordable and perfect for families just starting out.
At Katy Skelton–
I fell in love with the modern and edgy gold lighting
and those vintage fabrics and details.
is very vintage modern inspired and I have to say,
I was totally loving the simple lines and details.
They also have a special connection with Milo Baughman
that is very much tied to their company.
And it was so great to get to see a behind the scenes peek at how furniture is made when we got a peek behind the scenes.
gold and blush and gold again…
was on repeat.
I love the vintage styling of this table.
This sofa was one of my favorites at Market- no it isn’t metal or velvet
but it is a blush leather that was gorgeous.
At Universal Furniture- another on trend metal canopy bed.
And to round out the metals and lead into the next post which will be all about
gorgeous pops of bold color-
Theodore Alexander completely stole my heart with their classic elegant pieces
You can see I was a little giddy and the mix of that cobalt blue and gold.
Coming your way next in the spotted at High Point Market posts-
all about bright and beautiful colorful fabrics, finishes and outdoor trends.
Happy Friday everyone
I was compensated to be a part of the Design Bloggers Tour at High Point Market
but all opinions and crushes are my own.
I am sure you were left breathless, that twist in the brass French Chair I bet you made sure you sat in it, I sure would have.
As for the featured photos, they all inspire the beauty of Interior designs.

All the photos were awesome.
So much eye candy! I'd find it hard to know which look I like best.
I'm loving all the velvet that is trending. Such a great fabric for fall and winter!
Courtney, love your blog and your French design aesthetics in your home and guest cottage. Modern metal may be on trend, as is 1960s retro, seemingly. Not my style for cozy, welcoming, or romantic.
Thanks
