The Sunday view is a simple, quiet and definitely random one over here this weekend.
A little bit of catch up.
A little working ahead.
And a whole lot of coffee going on.
Along with a few behind the scenes and thoughts.
This week was a busy working week. I stayed in Sonoma for a couple of days with my Balsam Hill family working on a photo and video shoot. I think we wrapped at least 3 or 4 videos- which will be coming to their site shortly.
And a secret hint?
They had nothing to do with Christmas trees.
I. know.
I would love to tell you all.about. it right now- but they have sworn me to secrecy.
So, I will share more when I am able to.
Simple Florals
Sometimes that is all you need.
These pretty little freesia blooms were the stars at a recent shoot- and they smell amazing.
Definitely a great one to bring home for a simple, small but yet, big impact in a space.
And even better- a bouquet of them at Traders is usually under $5.
In the Vineyard
I had a few thoughts this week while soaking up the vineyard views.
Those thoughts that make you go hmmmm…
There have been a few things going on social media wise that I am disheartened by.
I am not going to delve into all the ins and outs of it, but a freelance article I worked on (and the research going into it) has made me aware of a few things that haven’t set right with me.
I am a big believer in being YOU- and that work you do is part of achieving.
So taking a step back from a few and focusing a bit – and always growing and changing and learning- and that is a good thing.

Behind The Scenes
I am working on a few things behind the scenes… all really good stuff and I am really really wanting to share… but again… not the right time to spill the beans. Yet.
In the mean time, I will be tweaking my blogging schedule and figuring out what works best all around. And I will be sharing those inspirations and diy’s that you love and much more that I have planned- and several new series in the works as we are planning a wedding for my brother (I am doing florals- surprise surprise haha) and another beach bicycle travel series coming up.

Around the web
Over at the HomeGoods blog this week- I am talking about the laundry room again- and sharing a few tips on what I found at HomeGoods to round that renovation out.
And coming your way~ I am working in the kitchen today- on a post that is allllll simple allll the time. We are talking about simple, easy, updates that you can do in your kitchen- that will make your space amazing- but won’t break the bank. Those are always good, right?
Stay tuned for that post later this week.
I am also working on simple florals. I get questions all the time about how to create a beautiful bouquet on a budget. So I am grabbing a few easy to find elements from the market- and creating the first of several bouquets for under $20 in a series all about Market Flowers.
Along that same note – I am working on a simple bedroom refresh update.
One that involves a whole new look with bedding- and trying to create a restful and relaxing space- that is perfect for spring and summer with just a few new items.

I also share sneak peeks of the every day and lots of chatter over on instagram much more than on fb or here- so don’t forget to follow along over there if you haven’t yet. And say hello if you do!! 🙂
Happy weekend everyone.

Wherever and whatever you go and do, Courtney, I know you will stay true and real to yourself, and for your loyal readers.
I have always just kept my blog easy and simple, and hope my little band of readers feel as though they popped in for a nice hot cuppa visiting me – I try to only post a little – never felt the need to blog daily since that first year. It is very easy to burn out – and let life pass us by if we do. I am not an advertiser, though, so am lucky in that I guess.
Can't wait to find our what Balsam Hill has planned – such wonderful quality produ
Take care. Hugs. ♥

Thanks so much Michele-you are so sweet. I think simple and easy is the way to go. And whether you post everyday or just on occasion- what is right for you is right for you and is exactly perfect. You will LOVE what Balsam is up to… I cannot wait to spill the beans on a few things there!! 🙂

Yes! I agree with Michele and stay with whom you feel conected with, like Balsam. My daughter received tulips, pink and white and homemade chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day from her sweetie. Fresh flowers at home, so pretty!
Looking forward to your kitchen post,

Courtney, I ditto all the above comments. I know last year I learned that consistency with a blog is key; however, someone who loves reading what you write will wait for you to post, no matter if that is a while. Just saw that with my own little blog. ???? I still look at two favorite past blogs hoping the writers might begin again.
I'm glad you write as you do ~ centered, in the middle of the page. Because you know yourself and are balanced. Plus the center is creative and less linear. Probably why I like the center, too. More like a poem.
Poetry aside, I'm sorry that what or whomever has got you down has done so. I think starting in a new direction is hard and I think you've done a beautiful job weaving photographing and writing what you'd like with sponsored writing in between. You have a wonderful heart and gift for that.
Blessings to you, my friend,
Barb 🙂
