Inside an old barn
hidden over in a corner &
piled high with old wooden bins & boxes of treasures…
A sweet old farmhouse table waits.

Waits to be re- discovered…
Waits to be dusted off & brought outside…
Waits for the laughter of friends as they gather together to break bread
around it’s old chippy tabletop.

I love old antique rustic farmhouse tables.
With layered wood plank tops they have so much charm.
Love their shabby antique patina and their wonderful imperfect character.
This sweet farmhouse table is a recent addition to the patio…
but it isn’t an antique with years of stories to tell…

The boys made this delightful table for me
for Mothers Day.
I wanted a large table for the patio
with old character, lot’s of charm
and shabby sweetness.
Cullan and I went to the hardware store, picked up all the supplies
and the boys and I got to work.

It is made out of pine and is over 9 ft long~
With chunky 4×4 legs all shabbied and
a layered french gray & white painted finish.
It’s not finished yet ~ I’ll share a tutorial and the finished table soon~
but it’s so charming already.
Pairs perfectly with the frenchy bistro chairs from the Kmart makeover
and the sweet little lavender plants marching down the table
are perfect with the white.

I am loving it!
(Cullan says he is available for hire if anyone is interested…)
🙂
I edited my photos by using an antique variation as well as fading the colors.
