A warm and chewy bread full of delicious fresh herb flavor.
This is such a delicious bread. One that you won’t be able to stop nibbling on- so consider yourself warned. And if you are carb conscious- you might want to skip this post and wait for another. But if you are all about warm and moist fresh herb bread dipped in peppered, herbed olive oil- you will love this one.

And the best part? You can use your favorite focaccia bread recipe- or if in a pinch to get it done- use a pre-made dough.

This is perfect for serving as a side for the holidays- or just as a yummy addition to the nibbles platter. Just remember to serve it warm and with olive oil for dipping for an extra burst of delicious.
Herb & Cheese Focaccia Bread
Ingredients
- 1 roll Pizza Dough- servings for 8
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup Boursin Garlic & Herb Gournay Cheese
- 1/2 cup Fresh Grated Parmesan
- 2 tbsp Italian Herb Seasoning
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian herbs
Instructions
- Prepare your pizza dough.Use your favorite fresh dough recipe – or favorite pre-made frozen dough.
- Roll your dough out to flatten it and sprinkle with your parmesan cheese.
- Fold and roll again to create a rectangle. Mix the butter and boursin cheese & fresh and dry herbs in a bowl and then spread onto the rectangle of dough.
- Roll your dough up tightly to create a log – and then slice the log in half- leaving just the top of the roll together.
- Twist your bread on top of each other and then take the 'braid' and roll it in a figure 8 shape- take the top to the right down towards the middle – and the bottom to the left up towards the middle.
- Pre-heat your oven to 375 (or whatever the pre-made dough specifies) Set aside your brad log and let rise for 20-30 minutes. Brush with a bit of beaten egg or olive oil and bake until golden brown- aproximately 30 minutes.
- Mix Olive Oil with fresh ground black pepper and herbs for dipping. Slice and serve warm with oil or butter if you prefer.

I love this with a peppered olive oil to dip in- but if you prefer butter that is delicious too.
