The softer side…
it is kind of where I always find myself landing when it comes to decor and colors.
And often times, that means that I am going with whites and neutrals.
But I noticed a trend at High Point Market this fall. One that involved blush, dusty blues, soft moss greens and more.
And all together- a softer side started appearing as I perused my photos.
So in the first of (several!) recap posts-
it is all about that softer side on the tour.
From decor items to furniture to backdrops that let the pieces breathe-
the softer side was going strong in the showrooms
on the Design Bloggers Tour.
Let’s start with blush- which is always a favorite.
I fell in love with the feminine details at Green Apple Home –
barely blushing blush with white and gold?
Yes, please.
They also had quite a few beautiful pieces with a touch of glam – such as this amazing lamp.
Cannot get enough.
And keeping in the blush theme- this entire set up- from the sofa to the sideboard
to the accessories… serious amount of obsession at ModShop
And perhaps one of the showrooms that spoke to me the loudest in color palette and style-
And the best part – those fabrics are Crypton Fabrics... which mean
the white and blush will stay white and blush even if you have an oops while enjoying them.
I also loved the soft mingle of blush and white with a touch of black
Absolutely stunning- and those chairs!
I need a bit of that wicker in my home- along with these pleated sofas which were one of my favorites pieces last market- and again this market.
Something whimsical and fun- this charming wall at Universal Furniture
and how perfect is that color with those soft linen upholstered beds
and pop of color with the pillows?
And a bit more bold for blush- this beautiful salon at Theodore Alexander
is heavy on the romantic and warm colors – from the sofa to the chest of drawers to the tables.
Kind of the epitome of vintage modern glam style – and tuned into another trend at High Point
that I will be talking about separately- and that would be all.things. Velvet.
And another on the barely blushing and oh so beautiful train-
this.chair. at Duralee
Seriously, the fabric was amazing-and all Crypton again- which means
guests can put their feet up and sip on a glass of wine without fear.
Pastel Love
From blush to neutrals like these soft gray blues- and I am loving the smooth fluid design
these chairs at Tomlinson have.
And the feminine details such as the back of this sofa
And it was so fun to have the amazing Barry Dixon showing us his collection.
Another blue/gray neutral
on repeat again at Highland House –
I am obsessed with these beds
and the details.
And keeping the gray game strong- this sofa with
that amazing line up of pillows at Bernhardt had me at hello.
As did this room – it shows that you can use all your favorite neutrals and
just one pop of a darker
color as in the table and create a stunning space.
And one for the road that is the softer side color wise in the pillows and cushions.
I love how this brings a softer romantic feeling to porch and patio.
This is from Lloyd Flanders
which you might remember as Lloyd Loom from back in the day.
So much more to share –
stay tuned for that amazing amount of Velvet at Market.
Along with the details trends- from furniture, to accessories to vignettes,
my top picks from the tour coming your way-
and my favorite vintage style showrooms and what knocked my socks off.
(Hint: there were A LOT. )
All coming your way in the next few weeks.
