It has been a busy couple of weeks and I am ready for a few days of relaxing.
Especially when the days are warm and there is that chaise lounge in the backyard that is
calling my name.
So with all the catch up this week- and not feeling too random this morning
I am just sharing a couple quiet thoughts today
I wanted to say thank you for all your kind words and notes about Bella.
If you follow me on instagram you probably saw my post about her earlier this week.
She was such a big part of our family and has been part of so many things over the years.
Even when she was was not well for the past couple of months-
she brought joy to each of us and our home every day.
She was truly one of my best friends. Our family will miss her so much.
I know so many of you feel the same way about your pets being like family.
Changes
August seems to be one of those months of transition, don’t you think?
the hot breeze picks up and blows in a new season
and of course, I have noticed that some blogs are
zooming from summer to fall already with mantels and vignettes.
I am in Summer mode over here yet.
Honestly, fall approaching makes me feel almost like when spring is coming.
Cleaning and decluttering and gearing up for the upcoming holiday season.
Since I am in Summer mode
and since it is nearly 100 degrees out and I have some fresh flowers
in the house –
it isn’t feeling Fall-ish to me yet.
So I am going to just embrace late summer days and warm evenings
and you just might find me relaxing in that chaise lounge
for a bit too.
Hope your weekend is off to a great start
See you soon for some inspiration

So sorry about Bella. What a sweet little nugget. They are family, not pets so I know and empathize with your pain. ((HUGS))

I didn't know. My deepest sympathies to you and your family for your loss of Bella. I know how deeply the love grows for our furry family members and their loss is heart breaking.

Sorry for your loss and the idea of spending time on the chaise lounge sounds like a good idea to me. It is also warm here in SW France and fresh flowers do not last long in the heat so I am looking forward to Autumn – cosy nights, candles = my favourite time of the year.
Enjoy what is left of the weekend, Leeann x

Courtney, so sorry for your loss. Yes, so hard to lose our fur babies. I'm not ready to quite let go of summer either, but I guess we will have to move on soon.

I am sorry to hear you lost your little Bella, Courtney. That is the name of my little toy poodle.
Summer will be here at the lake for as long as I can stretch it out. I really have a difficult time letting it go.
Enjoy your weekend.

You loved Bella, Bella loved you. Your time together was precious.
We just lost our sweet Cassie, our little furry feline of 20 years plus. I can feel your pain. They do wrap around our hearts forever.

Oh my gosh, the picture of Bella looks like our Bella, a chihuahua, she adopted my husband at work and is keeping our Min Pin Zoe company. I gave my Bella a hug and kiss for your loss of your Bella. Your blog is such a beautiful respite, Kathleen in Az

I am so sorry for your loss. Pets really do become family and a part of our lives like no other. She was definitely a cutie and just know she is in paradise with all the treats she can eat. I know the feeling as I lost our family pet a few years ago, now the wound isn't as fresh but he is always apart of us and a piece of him is always in my heart.
I can't believe its already sept, I am not ready for fall or summer to be over yet either. Once Starbucks comes out with the pumpkin latte I guess I'll have to accept it? Is that weird? Probably.

Courtney, I've been following your beautiful Blog for quite some time. Our canine and feline family members so enrich our lives. We, humans, hopefully, do whatever is necessary to take the very best care of them that we can in their too short lives because those sweet souls seek no other purpose in life than to love their human family and be loved in return.
