Sharing a few touches of Christmas decorating here & there…
Can you believe that Christmas is only 1 week away?
I can’t believe it!
There are so many Christmas posts I had planned to get up already!
It might be a crazy busy week of posting coming your way!
( or maybe just a crazy week of shopping and wrapping!!)
lol! 😉
Remember I told you that I went shopping at Kmart for some
Christmas decor?
Well, here are where those trinkets ended up!
I didn’t have any plans in mind when I went shopping~ but the budget was $100.
The first thing I found were the gorgeous glass ornaments.
I knew I wanted to bring home lots of them and in several colors.
Gorgeous muted gold, lemony green
and dark pinks as well as several whites and silver glass ornaments
in various shapes and sizes.
I have been loving all those ornament wreaths I have seen
all over the place in blog land.
I found several sizes and shapes of pretty metallic whites,
shimmery whites and muted whites
and spent an evening with my hot glue gun to make one.
I love the quiet look it has hanging in the kitchen window.
Another LOVE were these mercury glass acorns.
I brought home a bunch of them in 2 different sizes.
A couple larger ones hanging from each of the chandeliers
and a few more in the potted trees bring a bit of sparkle
While the smaller ones are perfect for adding to
little vignettes and putting on the kitchen tree.
Tiny pines trees in transferware fill my open cupboards in the kitchen
and maybe a couple here and there in little silver containers too
I found them in a bulk package and have used them everywhere.
I also found Mason canning jars in bulk packs in quarts and pints
and knew right away what I would do with them.
I wanted to make some of those Anthropologie~esque snow globes for charming
table top decorations and also to give as gifts.
I placed several of the little bottlebrush trees inside several of the jars with
a bit of sparkly glitter snow and shook them up to cover the trees a bit.
Those cute little trees also made their way into several others spots too.
There were 21 trees in the bulk pack I found and I picked up a couple
unusual snowy twiggy trees as well.
Love them.
I found tons of great things for decking the halls at Kmart this year!
Everything was all on sale when I shopped a few weeks ago which allowed me to get
extra glass ornaments to fill in a few bare spots on my wreath
and a few more trinkets but ,even better,
everything I found is on huge SALE right now!
I think I am going back for a few more mercury glass acorns!
😉
Feathered Nest Friday is going on through Sunday evening!
This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias
but the opinions are my own.

Beautiful vignettes, Courtney! I plan on getting another package of trees myself. The twiggy ones are really cute! I also wanted to get an assortment of ornaments to use for different decor projects, although they might not be used this year, at least I will have the supplies on hand.

Such a pretty wreath, and I love the transfer ware vignette!
The filled mason jars add such a wonderful touch.

The wreaths are beautiful, but I think my favorite element is your use of the Mason jars to create a holiday scene – just lovely!

I am a little bit late to see this, but all is just gorgeous. I wanted to ask you about your silver pails…. are they galvanized that you spray painted? If so, what paint/color and prep you did to them?
Thank you for sharing your very beautiful home and giving all these wonderful ideas, even if for next year.
