My weekend view this weekend is all about sleeping in
and catching up.
A little more snooze on the alarm and a little extra coffee should do the trick.
And I have a list a mile long of things that need to be styled and photos that need to be taken
and I am so excited to delve into them.
Las Vegas Baby
I spent several days at Las Vegas Market last week- and oh the inspiration.
I am always amazed at how much more inspiration I find each time- even when seeing some of the same showrooms and pieces. I think often times, inspiration is something that pops up and so you always have to be ready to capture it.
Oh and a side note- I survived speaking without any incidence other than my mother texting me on my cell phone repeatedly about paint colors and finishes at the most not perfect time.

DIY
Did you know that diy projects are some of my favorites?
And this weekend I am revisiting a few that inspired me back.in.the.day. as I get ready to re-adjust a few things here on my blog.
This table wasn’t pretty when it started out but it was such a simple and easy project to make it shine. Keep an eye out for it moving to a new spot soon.
Raindrops keep falling on my head
I stood in the rain with a piece of cardboard over my camera while
wiping sprinkles off of my subject the other day.
wiping sprinkles off of my subject the other day.
It was not ideal by far- but it happened.
Why?
Because I am insane with outdoor table styling projects on the calendar in the coming weeks-
And that El Nino rain has been crrrazzy here.
Which those photography deadlines don’t care about-
so a large sheet of cardboard is my friend.
And if you see me in the yard-
and wonder what I am doing with cardboard at a table in the rain
now you know.

Thought I would share a couple of my favorite inspirations from fellow bloggers this week.
Loved this drop cloth pillow with the poms and the way these barstools turned out after a makeover.

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful photos! No rest here, I have my 3 year old granddaughter this weekend. She keeps me BUSY!!! Just got her down and PRAYING she sleeps!!
Beautiful photos. I have found the rain has had to become my friend taking photos, we are having rather a wet winter here in France, but it does add a depth of colour to things! Hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy your lie in!
That plate set is absolutely stunning. You always know exactly what to place together to create the perfect ensemble.
Not new to your site yet new to posting. Favorite site by the way. May I ask a few questions? Where did you buy the
large framed chalkboard in the dining room, where did you purchase white seating in living room and where are living room lamps? I am working on redoing those rooms. Thank you
Thank you! So the chalkboard is one that we made – you can find it here: http://www.frenchcountrycottage.net/2011/12/little-chalkboard-love.html
the white sofas are from Ikea and I don't really have any lamps in the living room currently- we mostly use our chandeliers on a dimmer. But I have had them on the sideboard behind the sofa before. Hope that helps.
I am new to posting yet a fan of your site. May I ask a few questions to help our home design? Where did you purchase the large framed chalkboard in the dining room, where did you buy your sofa/seating in the living room and where are your living room lamps? Love your design flair, it's absolutely me! Thank you
