Happy weekend everyone.
I hope it has been a busy or relaxing or fun or whatever kind of weekend you were looking for.
I have been running around in circles over here in between some of the wrap ups on projects and starts of new ones. But today it is all about this and that and the other thing…
Halloween
I am not usually a big Halloween decorator- but I do tend to tackle one or two projects and posts each year. This year- I am going spooky elegant with the most gorgeous frosted black foliage I have found. And lots of flickering candles…
That styling is coming your way tomorrow morning along with a special discount for you
so stay tuned.
Mixed and matched
I played with a few photos last week that involved a mix and match of beautiful vintage china dishes. I am obsessed with dishes and table settings- I won’t lie.
And some of my absolute favorites are those beautiful floral china plates
that I discovered at the thrift store for 10 cents each.
I am working on a post about a few of the patterns and also working on styling a pretty table-
which it feels like I haven’t worked on in awhile.
Inspiration Travel
I have a couple of upcoming trips on the calendar that are all about inspiration.
Coming your way next weekend- it is all High Point Market all the time. I will be sharing snippets from what catches my eye in each showroom on the Design Bloggers Tour- and also a ‘Best of’ post sharing the absolute best pieces that knocked my socks off at Market.
If there is anything you are requesting to see more of- let me know!
Kitchen project
You know when it seems like that project is dragging on and on and on… and everything that can go wrong with it- does? That is the kitchen project at this point. The marble counters need to be cut. The rest of the flooring has been delayed for some reason. And the range hood needs to go up and the size that arrived is not correct.
SO back to square one. I am pulling out the paint and refreshing the cupboards finish and putting the new hardware on- while waiting for the other pieces to get here.
The good news? We have new appliances that I can hardly wait to share with you.
And that includes a coffee maker that actually makes the coffee and has it ready when I get up in the morning. After using a pour over for so long- which we love but is tedious- that wake up and pour a cup is full of goodness. I know. It is the little things sometimes.
🙂
Coming your way
I will be sharing a few Best of posts over here in the next couple of weeks- and closer looks at some of the autumn stylings this season.
Like all the nitty gritty details on this mantel.
First Look at High Point is coming your way next weekend.
And something fun? Since I am leading a buyers tour at Market- I am visiting all my fast favorites right away- which means lots of photos coming your way.
And details on that antique mirror that so many of you have been asking about.
Happy random weekend everyone.

Gorgeous as always, Courtney! Pinned that pumpkin vignette.
Your kitchen project sounds a tad frustrating, but then most remodels are always a tad frustrating. Just need to keep thinking about how wonderful it will be when it is all done. 😉
As far as High Point Market, I'm curious if you ever see beds in faux bamboo? I would be interested in names of companies that might sell queen size beds in faux bamboo. Thanks!

Hi Courtney,I just have to tell you how wonderful the November issue is of Romantic Homes. It is so full of inspiration and beauty. I particularly liked the Swedish sleigh ride article and of course Lidy's articles are always so informing. Keep up the great work I'm sure that I'm not the only reader that agrees! Looking forward to December issue.
xoxo Jo
