A potting shed with a snowy vintage Christmas tree? Yes indeed. Today it is all about our 9th tree of Christmas- and it is one of my favorites. Do I say that about every tree in the series? I think I might. But truly, this one is magical.
Snowy Vintage Christmas Tree
This look starts with a delightful snow covered Christmas tree. I love the heavy flock that this tree has.
Unique Tree Stand
I placed this tree inside a whiskey barrel for a simple and unique tree stand. The whiskey barrel is one that we usually use upside down as a table in between chairs but it works perfectly to hold the tree and give it a charming base.
Vintage Ornaments & the Potting Shed
The whimsical vintage ornaments are perfection on this tree. Those vintage colors simply pop against the snowy backdrop and add a certain kind of childhood Christmas charm.
I used a mix and mingle of different sizes and styles of vintage ornaments for this look. From big and bold to dainty and detailed. I love the way that they all play so well together and create this beautiful look.
A gold tree topper is the crowning finishing touch for this tree. Rather than a more bold topper- I went with this one that is a a wire shaped star.
Snowy Vintage Christmas Tree & the Silkies
Of course, the best part of this tree? Watching our sweet chickens enjoying it. I think they rather like vintage baubles and details.
Or it could just be that they love scratching those leaves off the path too. haha. I just love watching and holding them.

Hi Courtney! Super cute photo of you and your sweet chickens! 🙂 Nice pop of color for the tree styling outside. I know this doesn’t pertains to this post, But, the olive green velvet ribbon used in your bedroom. How many spools did it take to do both ribbons on tree and presents?
Courtney says
Hi there, I used 2 for the tree and one for the extras on the fireplace and on the presents. I could have probably gotten away with just 2 if I used less long ribbons on the tree and also didn’t tie some of the presents.

The ornaments on this one are indeed happy with each other! And the whiskey barrel is brilliant, so perfect! It must be fun to decorate so many trees! I do two (one small, sterling ornaments, in the living room, and the large one in the dining room, covered with European and traditional pieces). It’s so nice of you to share your ideas with all of us, Courtney. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
