Oh how I love a table with beautiful fresh fruit and flowers as a centerpiece. Today I am sharing another romantic inspired idea that is perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion.
Fruit and Flowers Table
I had so much fun putting this table setting together for my Balsam Hill family. With fresh flowers that are full of spring color not always available depending on where you live – we are showing just how you can use faux flowers for a beautiful spring inspiration. (Side note: You might remember that I have a collection of faux florals with Balsam Hill – I compared the REAL flowers I designed to the FAUX they created to show how realistic they are – you can see that post HERE . ) It started with one thing that led to another and another and voila- it all came together beautifully.
Note: This table is a low table- I am using an old pallet that we turned into a table- you might recognize it from my book Inspired Gatherings. Even though I used a pallet table – you could easily do this same look on a regular height table.
What you need
- Fruit- I used oranges, pears, pomegranates, peaches and grapes.
- Candles- I used these LED BIRCH CANDLES
- A bucket of blooms- This bucket of faux flowers is perfect for this table- and it is outdoor safe.
Start with Layers
For this centerpiece- it is all about the layers. I used a wood platform for some height for the fruit and stacked everything on that and on lower cutting boards.
Tuck in the candles
I added the candles mostly on one side of the centerpiece since the pallet isn’t overly large. You could of course balance them out on both sides more if you would like to.
Place setting details
A wood slice charger and simple white plates are topped with blush linen napkins and collected pewter flatware tied with a velvet ribbon.
The amber glasses are some of my favorites- I love the warmth they bring to the table.
This big bucket of flowers is such a charmer. And it is such a beautiful and realistic faux arrangement. It is also outdoor safe and one of my favorites to have out on the patio. I love outdoor safe flowers like this one for areas where you want that blooming beauty without the upkeep. Even though it might be outside- it is perfect indoors. And on the table. Placed at the end of the fruit it created a perfect finishing touch for the centerpiece.
Such a simple and sweet table for gathering with friends or family- and you can set the table for as many as you would like. For a longer table- add more. A second layer of fruit & basket of flowers and spread the candles out a bit further for a longer centerpiece.
