All the autumn porches are looking so pretty right about now. Pumpkins galore, mums in pots and pretty wreaths on the door. My autumn porch? Admittedly a bit bare at the moment. I have been traveling so much for signings for my new book and some family things that I have not jumped into decorating my porch for autumn yet this year. But… it is on my list this week friends. And once it is ready to go, I will share this years look with you here. But for now, if you are looking for some budget friendly autumn porch decor ideas- I’ve got you. Here are a few always on repeat favorite ideas.

Stack up the pumpkins
Stack and stack and stack those pumpkins. In sets of 2 and three or just stack them on the stairs. You don’t have to buy a whole bunch of fresh new pumpkins- you can use faux from previous years and get a beautiful look too.

Bring in the bushels of mums
Those bushel baskets are always being collected here. And they hold all the things all year long but when it comes to autumn, it is all about the mums. Anyone else find those huge potted mums at your local market? I can never get mine to grow in as beautifully as they do- so they are always coming home with me.

Potted cabbages and other plants
I love little potted cabbages for autumn. There is just something about them mingling with pumpkins on the steps or on a table. I just took a couple potted ones from the nursery and placed them into my own pots and called it good.

Corn Stalks by the door
Oh those corn stalks. This year they have been a bit hard to come by here. My husband found a few single stalks and had to buy a couple dozen of them to create our own cornstalks. But if you have them ready to go- stack them by a door, or a shed or on a light pole for a unique look. More about this look HERE

Clip a Few Branches
If you have a colorful leaf tree that could use a trim- bring those branches in. I am always gathering branches and twigs from fallen bits in the yard- or just clipping a few that inspire me. It is a simple and easy way to add some autumn decor in a snap.
Scatter Leaves, Acorns, Etc.
Or just leave the ones that have fallen and enjoy them. This one is so simple- and it lets you get away with not doing that fall yard clean up just yet. Remember the year we raked up the leaves on the patio- and then I started to put them and more back for a photo? I am all about those beautiful autumn leaves underfoot so I say- leave them for a bit. You can read more of that story HERE

Add a pretty wreath
This can be a new wreath you fall in love with or a wreath from autumn past. Dried or faux- it doesn’t matter. It is all about what is speaking to you. Even if you do nothing more than just add a seasonal wreath to your door or home- you are bringing in some beauty.

Obviously, these are easy and simple to do ideas- nothing too involved or fancy. Unless of course, you decide to bring in 100 pumpkins- then you might be busy for a bit. I am going in the pumpkins and foliage direction here- so drawn to all the natural bits this year.
