There is something about a basket filled with flowers and foliage that has a quintessential kind of charm. They are welcoming on a front door, charming on a stair post and simply sweet hanging on a wall or cupboard door. When it comes to blooming baskets- I am all about enjoying them anywhere and everywhere. Today we are talking about one of my favorites and a few ways to enjoy it.

Blooming Basket

I have shared blooming baskets several times here before. You might remember this citrusy foliage basket and also this vintage Longaberger basket I filled with flowers.

This basket I am sharing today is such a charmer. It is part of the collection I designed for Balsam Hill and is one of my favorite pieces. Of course, it is lovely for spring, but it can work in decor all year long. And even better- it will last all year long and then some since it is faux foliage.
Where to enjoy a Blooming Basket
Anywhere is the best answer! Really though, you can place a basket filled with flowers and foliage anywhere that you would like to. A few of my favorite looks are below.
Front Door Decor

I love how this looks as a different look than a traditional wreath on the front door. It says ‘Welcome’ beautifully don’t you think? You can hang the basket with the burlap bow it comes with or use a wreath hanger and simply tie the bow to that to hold it up.

Cupboard Door Delight
Why not dress up a cupboard door for a little blooming moment? I added the basket to one of the sections of the cupboard in the dining room and love how it adds a simple sweet look.

On a Peg Rack or Hook
This is a screen grab from a video I did showing various ways to style this basket. It is such a simple, nostalgic look with some dried bunches of lavender and blooms.

Barn door charm
On a shed door or a barn door, a basket adds a little touch of whimsy and welcome.

For this gathering in the barn, I added the basket on the door to echo the foliage on the table- which is a garland in this same collection. Side note, I am missing that mirror in the back of the barn. I currently have a big antique fireplace there and may have to do the shuffle and bring the mirror back up for a bit.

It brings a lovely cohesive look and makes the barn feel a little more welcoming as you enter.
