September brings lots of pumpkins
colorful leaves, baskets of apples, cozy sweaters,
warm cider and hot cocoa
and evenings outdoors by the fire.
If you have been reading my blog for any length of time,
you probably already know how much outdoor living is a part of our lifestyle.
And in autumn, when the nights are starting to get a little chilly,
we cozy up to the fire on the patio to warm up.
But recently, we have been in the 90’s again over here in California
and so, those chilly evenings?
Well, they have been more like warm summer nights
with no fires needed.
But cheese and crackers and hot cider is always a good idea, right?
Out on our front porch, we have two levels of concrete patio area
and on the lower level,
I set up a simple spot to sit and enjoy warm days and nights.
And today, I am joining my friends in the Farmhouse Holiday series
and my friends at Joss & Main and sharing a peek at this cozy little spot on our porch.
I will let the photos do most of the talking today…
You might recognize this bench from the patio refresh with Joss & Main from spring.
It is a definite favorite and perfect for the front patio.
A bevy of pillows and chunky knit throw warm it up and
create a perfect little spot to cozy up.
Seriously in love with this throw- and those copper mugs of course.
A vintage jug with dried thistle
and a whole lot of pumpkin love adds a sprinkling of autumn.
On the other bench- another cozy throw with a simple French stripe
to wrap up in.
and an old shipping crate used as a coffee table.
Favorites?
Rosemary topiaries
rusty farmers lanterns
and the weathered wicker baskets filled with pinecones and autumn blooms.
Look at my poor sad little cabbages. It fired up to 95 degrees here again and
they cannot take it out here in the day with the hot sun.
🙁
On the door – I am loving this preserved wreath that is full of autumn charm.
Artichokes, lotus pods, hydrangea and pomegranates to name a few.

Love the throw. Thanks for posting the source. It's on it's way. Fall is not my favorite season for decorating but I LOVE everything you've put together. Thanks for the inspiration and helping me to think outside my comfort zone.
