Remember I told you that I took those beautiful wedding flowers home with me? My brother and his fiancé were jetting off on their honeymoon and so- I was excited to be able to enjoy all those blooms in the house again. And I have been enjoying arrangements everywhere, created the flower filled Christmas tree and have been doing table settings on repeat with those blooms. And I also created a floral Christmas mantel garland.
Floral Christmas Mantel Garland
Can I just say- OBSESSED with how this turned out. Literally. Obsessed. This floral Christmas mantel all started with the floral swag I made for my brothers wedding. It was a base of faux eucalyptus garland from Balsam Hill that I added fresh eucalyptus and fresh flowers to. The result was a beautiful lush arrangement to drape on the table. Side note- I originally installed the garland half off the table and half across the table top. The venue helpers who were setting the table seemed to have moved it to be just on the tabletop when they added candles so placement is a little different than intended. Which is okay too- but I did love the wonky off center look it originally had as seen on the barrel table above.
This garland is a 10′ garland that I partly doubled over and tied together to create the full swag for the table.
On the Mantel
Well, when that arrangement came home- I knew just where I wanted to use it. I undid the folded over garland so that it was the regular long length and layered another faux eucalyptus garland with it for fullness.
We secured the christmas garland to the mantel and then I added some more flowers to create a more lush display. A lot of baby’s breath and roses were on repeat.
To finish the look, velvet ribbons on the corners and tall candles tucked into the foliage was perfect. Of course, my fireplace village from my collection with Balsam Hill adds the perfect amount of ambiance as it glows away in the firebox. And I love how it compliments the floral Christmas mantel garland and cozy candle glow.
