Welcome to Feathered Nest Friday!
I hope your week has been going well!
It has been a busy week over here soaking up inspiration at Las Vegas Market- more on what caught my eye coming soon.
Here is what I shared this week:
A quick note about FNF.
I loaded probably 15 blogs this morning that I wanted to feature
but that have settings that do not allow me to grab a photo for sharing.
It is frustrating to want to feature someone – but not be able to because of the settings- and while I understand that you don’t want your images downloaded-
please understand that I cannot feature you then
and it takes a bit of time to get the post and features all ready.
but that have settings that do not allow me to grab a photo for sharing.

So…I am considering keeping FNF since so many of you do enjoy linking up
and it is a fun post each week-
and it is a fun post each week-
but ending the featured highlights or maybe just featuring text links instead of photos.
I do hope you understand – and I appreciate you coming over and linking up each week.
Here are a few highlights from last weeks party:
Finding Silver Pennies shared an office makeover
Get busy Gardening shared an Indoor herb garden
Finding Grace Interiors shared French style chairs
Life Love Larson shared a feather wreath
A Moms Take shared a diy freezer paper image transfer

How frustrating for you, Courtney. (I hope I'm not an offender; I'm so clueless, I wouldn't even know how to find out if my photos are grabable.) It's a beautiful party (and it's appreciated)… with or without features. Take care, Cynthia

It is most often a setting that bloggers intentionally add- which I totally understand. It keeps people from 'grabbing' photos and using them. But it also keeps me from grabbing the photos to share them to help spread the love as well, unfortunately. I do understand it- and am totally supportive of anyone who wants their settings to be that way. I really just want you guys to know that I am skipping a lot of really great posts and projects, etc. for that reason.
As always- appreciate you and everyone coming over and linking up Cynthia!!

Thank you for hosting a truly lovely party Courtney. I have to admit that I adore the visual eye candy you feature each week. I have linked up three projects and all are grabbable. 😉

Courtney, thanks so much for hosting us. I can certainly appreciate the frustration you may feel when your work is for nought, but since you left the situation open-ended, I am taking a leap in assuming you wanted feedback. I really think it would potentially hurt the party to not be able to see the guests (and their features), just sayin'. I know another blogger host who tried that (links only) and she received enough feedback from participants that it was worth her while to bring the photos back. I'm a firm believer in photos catching one's eye for wanting to go to the various blogs in the first place. That said, it's your party, so it's obviously your discretion and decision as to how you host it. Have a great weekend.

Hi Rita! I totally want feedback- and I do appreciate it. And I AGREE.
I think the photos are what drives the traffic to other blogs to take a peek. The thing is- while I would love to stop by and say hello to each and every link- I am just one person writing this blog. And it is really frustrating to open so many great posts and have to skip so many. The only other option other than not featuring photos- is to do no features at all or not host the party. I know that so many enjoy partying here each week-so I would hate to end the party all together-but it is becoming a weekly frustration to go through so many links that I enjoy and not be able to share them with you. If anyone has any suggestions- please let me know- I am open to them!

Courtney, your laundry room is wonderful. We are starting a laundry room remodel, so your post is very helpful and insprirational. Sorry that one of the links I shared this time was actually shared in one of your previous parties. My mistake! Hope you have a great week.
