I am a bit non-traditional when it comes to Christmas…
and yes, indeed blush would be one of my go -to colors to incorporate.
And on the Christmas table… there might be blush, peonies and garden roses with a bed of eucalyptus instead of fresh greens.
Today I am joining several friends as part of the Styled and Set tours
hosted by my sweet friend Lory at Designthusiasm
If you are coming over from Sand & Sisal and all that gorgeousness that Kim creates-
Welcome!!
Today I am sharing a closer look at a table setting that was one of the
(currently on sale for $18)
This table started simply with a few favorite things… fresh eucalyptus and peonies
and it wrapped up with a few elegant touches.
Ambiance
A couple of my favorite tips for setting a table full of ambiance-
start with candles.
Whether you use blush candles, white candles, chunky candles
or maybe an abundance of candles
that flicker is a perfect way to set the mood.
And a lot of questions about the cost of those candles on the table setting- here is a secret-
Dollar Tree candles folks. So a lot of bang for the buck.
Add the Midas Touch
A bit of gold in the dishes, stemware and even the flatware is a perfect way to add a touch of regal elegance to your table.
I love to layer the gold elements- but even just one touch will add a lovely gleam.
Fresh Greens
It doesn’t have to be a chunky expensive garland to add a festive touch on the table.
Simple sprigs layered down the center work perfectly.
Choose something sage in color like eucalyptus for softer looks
and bold like cedar for a more traditional table.
Fresh Fruit
I am a huge fan of fresh fruit and veggies on the table and anywhere in decor for the holidays.
Choose oranges, pomegranates, cranberries, berries, persimmons and more
(you will be seeing more of these table settings soon)
You can also use flowers of course.
Choose in season varieties- right now peonies are in season for a short time so they are a perfect soft and romantic choice for an elegant table- but any flowers you like will work.
Don’t forget the magic of twinkle twinkle.
Whether you have several strands or just one- those little lights add a ton of warm ambiance to your setting.
All together – all that ambiance will invite your guests to settle in and relax and enjoy themselves
and I tend to think ambiance even makes the food taste better.
So a win-win I think.
🙂
