Welcome to the weekend view.
This week looks a bit like pumpkin patch and Halloween fun, a bit like Christmas and a bit like tropical fun in Hawaii.
Halloween
It was all about Halloween fun last week- from costumes to the pumpkin patch. I shared that we went to the pumpkin patch with all the kids recently and we brought some fun costumes for them to dress up in. We were going to be out of town for the actual day of Halloween so we had fun enjoying the season with our grand babies at the pumpkin patch.
On Island Time
My husband and I hopped on a place and explored the island of Hawaii last week. It is a fairly short 5 hour flight from California to get to Hawaii – but even though I grew up in California, this was my first time to the island.
We spent a couple days hiking and exploring all over the island, did some touristy things and did a bit of beach sitting too, of course. I will share more about where we went and what we hiked and what we learned in a separate post. But suffice it to say I enjoyed a lot of sun, sea and salty air- while rocking humidity hair.
And just like that…

I’m ready for all things christmas. After I came home last night from a halloween party, I took the few pumpkins, crows, and fall leaves down in the house. I’ll un- decorate the front porch today, too.
