It’s a merry little weekend view this weekend- can you believe that Christmas is just a few days away? I cannot believe how quickly the holiday season has zoomed by. Of course, lots to share yet as always so will be posting blog posts before taking a few days off to enjoy Christmas. But overall, this weeks weekend view is already full of festivities and fun.
Happy Birthdays
We got out for a little weekend getaway to Carmel, CA to celebrate my dad and brother and their birthdays this weekend. Both are big birthdays for them – 80 and 50 – and it was such a treasure for me to be able to spend time with both of them together. I can’t remember the last time both my brother and I were with my dad at the same time for a weekend away- it honestly was such a treat. We are already planning the next weekend getaway together- the more memories in the making the merrier.
Sweet Curly bird
The sweetest little curliest chicken – Curly is 1/2 house chicken and 1/2 chicken chicken. The first thing he does when he gets out of the coop in the morning is make a mad dash to the yard to crow and then comes to the door to come inside. He has a little blanket by the fire and he loves to sit there and take a few naps inside. While I was working away at styling the front porch for Christmas, he decided to come on over and help add some sweetness and magic to my photo. He definitely did just that.
